Winter Hours

Labor Day to Memorial Day, our museum, gift shop and Research Center are open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.  We are closed Sundays and Mondays. Thursday evenings, our museum is open until 9 p.m. Please follow signage in parking areas to our Winter Entrance.

We will be closed Saturday, December 24, 2011. Happy holidays!

Summer Hours

 Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day, our museum, gift shop and park are open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 1-5 p.m. Our Research Center is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

Admission

Admission is $5 for adults
$3 for students ages 3-17
Free to children 2 and under

Every Thursday from 5 p.m. to close, admission is free.

Minnesota Discovery Center members receive free general admission. Trolley rides are $3 per person. Mini-golf is $3 per round.

Location

Minnesota Discovery Center is three hours north of the Twin Cities and 1.5 hours north of Duluth. Follow Interstate 35 north to Cloquet, follow U.S. Highway 33 to U.S. Highway 53. Take Highway 53 to Virginia, then follow U.S. Highway 169 west to Chisholm.
